Jon Bon Jovi mp3

John Francis Bongiovi, Jr. or more famously as Jon Bon Jovi was a guitar and piano player since 1975 since the age of thirteen with his band 'Raze.' When he was sixteen he met David Bryan and formed “Atlantic City Expressway.” He also played in the band “John Bongiovi and the Wild Ones.” By 1980 he formed another band 'The Rest.' After so many bands, Bon Jovi made several demos of his songs and sent them to record companies but failed to make an impression. After several years of struggle, he was the lead vocalist on “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” produced by his cousin and released as part of an album entitled, “the Christmas in the Stars.”
Bon Jovi met John Lassman and managed to get his song, “Runaway” in Lassman's compilation album showcasing local New York talent. Lassman was a promotion director of WAPP radio station in Lake Succes, known as 'The Apple.' The recording was done by studio musicians named 'The All Star Review,' composed of bassist Hugh McDonald, guitarist Tim Pierce, drummer Frankie Larocka and keyboardist Roy Bittan. “Runaway” began getting significant air play and other stations picked it up. Then Bon Jovi asked for David Bryan to join him. Together they created a new band with Alec John Such as the bassist ,Tico Torres as drummer and David Sabo on lead guitar. Later, David Sabo was replaced by Richie Sambora. In 1983, David Bryan left the group to pursue medical school but rejoined the band. Together, they started to showcase their music to the local community.
Derek Shulman saw their performance and asked them to join him at Mercury Records. They agreed to join him and Bon Jovi wanted to get a name for the group. Pamela Maher that suggested Jon Bon Jovi to name his team with two words phrase such as “Van Halen,” suggesting the name 'Bon Jovi'. Although the group did not agree with the name they had their opportunity and took it, charting as aband under the name 'Bon Jovi.'
Doc McGhee became the new manager of the group and he help record and produce their self titled debut on January 21, 1984. 'Runaway,' which was popular on radio station was included in this album. It reached the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. Mercury Records requested Jon to include a song titled 'She Don't Know Me' and this song charted as well, but Jon never get any writing credit on this song.
Bon Jovi continued to build its reputation by opening for other bands such as Scorpion and Kiss. In August 1984, they appeared at the Super Rock Festival in Japan as a special guest. Surprisingly 'Runaway' became a hit on Japan's charts and went gold. In the USA it peaked number 43 on the Billboard 200 and on early 1985, the album was certified Gold by RIAA.
Bon Jovi kept their ongoing and released the second album, titled '7800° Fahrenheit' in 1985. This album included three singles, 'Silent Night', 'In and Out of Love' and 'Only Lonely'. The album reached number 37 of Billboard 200 and certified Gold in the USA. Sales were not as high as hoped but enough to tour. In Japan, the ticket for their eight performance was sold out all and the album rose to the Top 5 and certified Gold. In May 1985, Bon Jovi broke in to the UK and Europe, stealing headlines as '7800° Fahrenheit' rose to number 28 on the UK Charts and number 40 in Germany.
Their third album, “Slippery When Wet,” was released in August of 1986, and was the band’s breakout album. The single, 'You Give Love a Bad Name', became number 1 in the Billboard Hot 100. The same happened for the second single, 'Livin' on a Prayer' and defended it's position for four weeks. The third single, 'Wanted Dead or Alive', was not so successful but made it in to the Top 10 and became Bon Jovi's National Anthem. The album’s runaway success attracted the attention of MTV and their name, image reputation and popularity spread across the world.
Confidence that the success of their third album was not a fluke occurence, Bon Jovi released thier fourth album in September 1988, entitled 'New Jersey'. It was a success, taking the Billboard 200 by storm and the number one spot in the USA and UK for four and two weeks respectively. The five singles from the album, 'I'll Be There for You', 'Bad Medicine', 'Born to Be My Baby', 'Lay Your Hands on Me', and 'Living in Sin' dominated the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. With the album success, Bon Jovi toured 22 countries and gave 232 live performances. Such was their popularity that the government of the Soviet Union invited them to record with the state owned record label, Medoliya. A first for a Western artist.
The band took sometime off to persue solo careers. The movie “Young Guns II” better known as “Blaze of Glory” attraced Jon Bon Jovi’s attention and he produced its soundtrack, ‘Blaze of Glory” featuring Elton John, Jef Beck and Little Richard. IT became a numebr hit in the USA, and was no minated for an Acadamey and Grammy Award. In 1991, Sambora released his solo album, 'Stranger in This Town,” featuring Eric Clapton in 'Mr. Bluesman'. The movie 'Netherworld' attracted David Bryan who went on to create its soundtrack.
After a four year hiatus, Bon Jovi reunited for their fifth album, “Keep the faith,” released in November 1992. The album went double platinum inthe USA and reached number 5 on the Billboard 200. In the UK and Australia, it shot to number one on the country’s charts, was certified five times platinum in Canada and triple platinum in both Japan and Australia. Two years later in October of 1994, they released their greatest album, “Cross Road” with two singles
October 1994, Bon Jovi released it's greatest hits album entitled 'Cross Road' with two new tracks, 'Someday I'll be Saturday Night' and 'Always'. The latter was a massive hit, spending six months in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, and was number 1 on the charts of 21 countries. It was certified platinum in the US, selling three million copies worldwide, and won for “Best Selling Rock Band” by the World Music Award.
June 1995, the group's sixth album 'These Days' was released and continued their success, ranking on the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and earned platinum status. The group wnet on tour once again. Hot on the heels of the album’s success, they kicked off a world tour in India that hit every populated continent and made history in June 1995 when Bon Jovi sold out Wembly Stadium three nights running. The tour spanned 35 countries with 126 live performances on the “These Days Tour.”
After the world tour, the group took a confirmed two-year sabbatical to pursue their individual interests and the band reformed. In June 2000, Bon Jovi released their seventh Album, “The Crus,” with the single “It's My Life.” The single was their most successful release in a decade and broadened their audience to include a new generation as fans. 'Bounce' was the group's eighth album that went back to theri classic rock style and their ninth album was released in Septemebr 2005, “Have a Nice Day” shot straight to numebr one on the Billboard Country Chart and kicked off the year long “Have a Nice Day Tour.”
Bon Jovi released their tenth album, 'Lost Highway' in June 2007 and in October that year announced the Lost Highway Tour that began with 10 shows at the newly opened Newark, New Jersey Prudential Center. The tour visited Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the USA and the UK. Their eleventh studio album, “The Cirlce” was a rock n’ rill success that debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 163,000 copies in the first week. The band performed at the 52nd Gramm Awards and were nomiated for the 2010 Grammy for “Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals,” before heading out on tour in Febuary 2010 for The Circle Tour that evolved into Bon Jovi Live.
There were plans for a greatest hits album in 2009 but sidelined until 2010 as they had enough material for a new album. It will be a new greatest hits album, with no tracks from their 1994 greatest hits compilation “Cross road.”The new collection will feature their hits of the last fifteen years, including several never-before-released songs.

'Always' is a power ballad[1] by American rock band Bon Jovi. It was released as a single from their 1994 greatest hits album Cross Road and went on to become one of their best-selling singles, with a million copies sold in the US and more than 3 million worldwide.[2] The song reached number four on the US BillboardHot 100 and was an international hit, peaking at number one in Belgium, Canada, Ireland and Switzerland, number two in Australia and the United Kingdom, and number four in Germany. In the United Kingdom, it was the very first number-one single on the UK Rock and Metal Singles Chart.

'Always' was Alec John Such's final single with the band before he left in late 1994.

Song origin[edit]

The song was originally written by Jon Bon Jovi for the soundtrack to the 1993 film Romeo Is Bleeding, starring Gary Oldman as a corrupt cop and Mafia aide who is renounced by his wife. After being unimpressed by a preview screening of the movie – which was a critical and box office flop[3] – he decided not to lend 'Always' to the producers. Bon Jovi commented: 'The script was great: the movie wasn't.' He left the track on his shelf and forgot about it until John Kalodner, a friend and A&R executive, found it and convinced him to re-record and release the song.[4]

Music video[edit]

The music video featured Jack Noseworthy, Carla Gugino, Jason Wiles and Keri Russell.

Live performances[edit]

The song's powerful lyrics and power ballad sound made 'Always' an instant hit at live concerts, but the high demand on Jon Bon Jovi's vocals have seen it rarely performed in concert following the band's 1995–1996 These Days Tour. Hence, when it is performed it is done so in a lower key. The song is featured on the band's Live From London video. During the 2005-2006 Have a Nice Day Tour it was occasionally performed in the acoustic style heard on the band's 2003 This Left Feels Right album. The band performed the original version on their Lost Highway Tour, particularly in the UK leg. A live version performed on the final night of the Lost Highway Tour was included on the concert DVD Live at Madison Square Garden. Since then, the song in its original version has been occasionally performed during every tour.
